Every year, Time Magazine puts together a collection of the
most influential people in society. This
year, two of the people selected had connections with the physically/mentally
challenged community. They were selected
from a group of 200+ people.
One of the people selected was Jason Katmis executive director
of the NBC TV show “Parenthood.” He has
a son with Asperger’s syndrome. “Parenthood”
has been praised for its use of developing a character with Asperger’s into the
show’s plot.
Karen Pierce is an autism researcher at a university. Presently, she is working to enhance autism
screening tests. Her tests could be used
to determine if a child has autism at one year old.
This collection of influential people in Time Magazine
includes a range of leaders, artists, and heroes. People that have been taken into
consideration besides Katmis and Pierce are Warren Buffett. Final results for the collection will be
presented on April 17.
Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
ReplyDeleteI mean, what you say is valuable and everything. However just imagine
if you added some great visuals or video clips to
give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this site could definitely be one of the most beneficial in its field. Excellent blog!
