A new website was recently created to offer assistance on
the Medicaid changes in each state. The
website is known as the “Medicaid Reference Desk.” It has received support from the federal
government.
“This website helps individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and others access and gain
knowledge about Medicaid, which is an essential lifeline for millions of
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families,”
said Peter Berns, CEO of the Arc.
The website highlights a glossary of common Medicaid related
terms. There is also a “Frequently Asked
Questions” section. The main purpose of
the Reference Desk is to guide support systems in dealing with the Medicaid procedures.
Medicaid Reference Desk was created by staff at the Arc. The US Department of Health and Human
Services funded the site. It is intended to be a one-stop service guide
for Medicaid state benefits.
