It’s not surprising it has been a difficult year for Maria
Shriver. The ex first lady of California
filed for divorce from her husband Arnold Schwarzenegger. She received encouragement from a friend who
has a mental challenge.
Shriver got an email from him saying, “You’re my best friend
Maria and you will never be left out.”
It made her realize and appreciate the importance of the gift of
friendship in hard circumstances.
“I appreciate your
support, particularly this year, for sticking with me,” Shriver recently told
fans.
Shriver shared this experience with about her friend with
the mental challenge at a Best Buddies charity gathering. The gathering raised
$4.5 million for the organization. Best Buddies
was founded by Maria’s brother Anthony Shriver.
